Appearance Bulldogs are a stocky breed, with a compact body and short, sturdy limbs. The bulldog shape results in a peculiarly unique gait. Bulldogs are known for their short muzzles and the saggy skin on their faces, creating the apparent "frown" that has become a trademark of the bulldog breed. [read more]
Temperament and Characteristics The temperament of the Bulldog is generally docile, friendly and gregarious but are known to be fiercely loyal. Breeders have worked to breed aggression out of the Bulldog, and as such the Bulldog is known to be of generally good temperament. [read more]
Health The Bulldog is prone to some health issues but no more so than most other pure breed dogs. Breathing issues can be prevalent with Bulldogs due to the shape of the lower jaw and the shortness of muzzle. Bulldogs are known to snore. [read more]
History The term "bulldog" was first used around 1568 and might have been applied to various ancestors of modern bulldog breeds. The oldest single breed specialty club is The Bulldog Club (England), which was formed in 1875. Members of this club met frequently at the Blue Post pub on Oxford Street in London. [read more]

How do I know a good breeder?
It is hard to choose with all the choices of bulldog breeders and bulldog puppies. Do not fall for misleading gimmicks to get you to buy a bulldog puppy. One instance is a web site advertising "Genetic Bulldogs". No such thing. [read more]
Imported English Bulldog Puppies
All bulldog puppies are cute, but don't give in to impulse. Do research before you buy a bulldog puppy from anyone, this becomes more difficult with imported bulldogs and as such there is more of a risk. [read more]
SCAMS
You usually cannot buy a purebred Bulldog for under $1500.00. A lot of these scams will say shipping included. Well, shipping on a major airline is at least $230.00. Plus you have the shipping crate and health certificate cost. [read more]
What is the difference in different Bulldog breeds?
There are only 2 breeds of Bulldogs recognized by the AKC as purebred. These are the Bulldog (English Bulldog) and The French Bulldog. [read more]

Welcome to Ferner's Bulldog puppies! Our Bulldog puppies are raised with lots of love and care. We have been delivering puppies for 18 years. We love what we do. We strive for health, temperament, conformation, skin, and bones. Our main concern is their health and happiness. We are looking for families that will shower our puppies with love and attention.
English Bulldogs are wonderful bundles of love and need an attentive loving family. Bulldog puppies are part of our family and will only go to homes where they will be part of yours. Our Bulldog puppies are raised under foot and handled from day one. If you have the accomodations, resources, and love you can never find a more noble and loyal loving companion!
We work as a cooperative with other bulldog breeders that may have what you are looking if you don't find it here. We some times have pups on our site from other breeders. Email us and we can let you know if we know of anyone who has your special bully baby.
